Kálmándy first appeared as Nabucco while still a student at the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, making his stage debut in the role.
Internationally acclaimed Hungarian dramatic coloratura and spinto soprano Csilla Boross made her international breakthrough in 2011 as Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco at the Rome Opera under the baton of Riccardo Muti. Since then, she has performed the role more than 140 times at many of the world's foremost opera houses and festivals, captivating audiences with performances that consistently earn standing ovations.
