The Rudas Thermal Bath features a thermal bath, swimming pool, wellness area, sauna, steam rooms, and various treatments for those seeking relaxation.
The more than 450-year-old Rudas Thermal Bath is a historic spa in Budapest that dates back to the Turkish era. The spa's attractions include the Turkish bath and a rooftop panoramic pool, offering guests a magnificent view of the Danube. The spa's water is excellent for treating various joint diseases.
The thermal water is high in calcium-magnesium-hydrocarbonate, sodium, sulfite, chloride, and fluoride, which are ingredients that have a beneficial effect on various joint diseases, intervertebral cartilage diseases, neuralgia, and osteoporosis.
The central part of the Turkish bath building is the octagonal pool, situated beneath a 10-meter-diameter hemispherical dome supported by eight columns. In the Turkish bath, there are five more steam pools next to the octagonal pool. In addition to the pools, there are two steam rooms and three hot air cabins, as well as a 29°C swimming pool, which is currently the warmest in Budapest.
According to the tradition of Turkish bathing, male guests can use the Turkish bath with an apron on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the day and on Fridays, followed by a co-ed bathing session in the afternoon. The bath is only available to female guests on Tuesdays (ladies' day). On Friday afternoons and weekends, there is also the possibility of a co-ed social bathing session in swimsuits.
In 2014, a modern wellness section with a sauna world was built next to the Turkish bath, the main attraction of which is the rooftop panoramic pool with thermal water, from which there is a wonderful view of the capital.
