The Wagner Days has long been a defining event in international opera life, welcoming visitors with impressive productions year after year. This high-quality event is not a simple concert series but a complex cultural experience that keeps classical music lovers excited for more than three weeks.
The festival's greatest pride is that we can see the finest Wagner singers on stage. The permanent performers include world-famous artists such as John Reuter, Gerhard Siegel, and Iréne Theorin, all recognized masters of Wagner interpretation. These artists create a special atmosphere in the concert hall not only with their technical virtuosity but also with their deep understanding and experience of Wagner's music.
Last but not least, the experience will be crowned by a sumptuous selection of Wagner’s most popular melodies, arias, and orchestral interludes. The festival’s creative director and the evening’s conductor, Ádám Fischer, looks forward to welcoming both Wagner fanatics and those encountering him for the first time with his Heroes and Heroines production, and he will be joined in doing so by Daniela Köhler, Dorottya Láng, Zoltán Nyári, Tivadar Kiss and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
