Historical buildings painted with light, light creatures floating on a sea of ​​tulle, and interaction with artificial intelligence - the Zsolnay Light Festival will enchant all senses in 2025 as well. 

Over the past few years, the Zsolnay Light Festival has become one of the most popular events in Pécs. 

The festival’s central attraction is the Zsolnay Light Art International Light Painting Competition, where world-famous light artists project their works onto the facade of the Cathedral. On the walking route known as the Path of Light, nearly 20 light installations await visitors in downtown Pécs, including the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter and Balokány Park. 

The four-day event fills the city’s Mediterranean downtown with a special atmosphere, featuring an international light painting competition, the Path of Light, which showcases nearly twenty works, spectacular fire juggling shows, and unique street art and music programs for visitors. 

The Zsolnay Light Festival offers visitors magical experiences not only at night but also during the day. 

The festival programs and attractions presented in the public spaces of the Path of Light can be visited for free. Those in the closed spaces can be viewed by purchasing a wristband, which is available for the Path of Light Extra locations.
