The Brewery proudly marks its 170th anniversary, honoring a legacy of uninterrupted production with an inspiring series of programs, starting with the premiere of Animatiqua's innovative new film that embraces the power of artificial intelligence.
The film team has lovingly breathed new life into images from the brewery’s first 100 years using innovative parallax technology. They began by carefully retouching the photos, with some enhanced through artificial intelligence to ensure every detail shines. Next, they “sliced” the images into layers and transformed them into 3D models, allowing for a captivating visual journey as these models were gently animated. Each slice required an average of four dedicated days of work, showcasing the team’s commitment and passion for preserving our history. Among the treasures featured, you'll find an 18th-century portrait of Franz Anton Dreher, the father of our founder, Antal Dreher Sr. The film also highlights the evolution of our brewery, capturing moments from the 1960s when assembly lines and beer tankers began to replace the cherished horse-drawn carriages. Along the way, we celebrate unique milestones, like the country’s first moving neon sign on Nagymező Street in the 1930s. The final segments offer a glimpse into the vibrant life stories unfolding at Dreher Brewery in the 21st century.

This heartfelt tribute is a translation of a German work from 1864, enriched with thoughtful footnotes and previously untold stories and images, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of museologist Dr. Róbert Török. Together, we honor the remarkable journey of our beloved "Beer King."
