Experience the wonder of the Palace of Miracles and be amazed by its breathtaking beauty

The Palace of Miracles stands as a beacon of inspiration, being the first interactive science center in Central and Eastern Europe. The name "Csodák Palotája" pays tribute to the visionary József Öveges, who, back in the 1960s—long before science centers existed—dreamed of a place where children could marvel at the wonders of science through engaging experiences. His vision came to life in this transformative environment, encouraging young minds to explore and discover the extraordinary.

The Eötvös Loránd Physics Society and Ernő Rubik were essential catalysts in the creation of this thriving institution. Under the guidance of Dr. István Tamás, the founding rector of IBS, it has flourished, bolstered by his dedication and expertise in business management.

Our mission is to transform learning into an inspiring experience and to nurture the curiosity that resides within every child. At Csopa, our tools and toys, along with Öveges's lectures and hands-on experimentation in the Richter Gedeon lab, are intrinsically linked to the sciences—especially the natural sciences—and reflect true professionalism. In a world where both children and adults increasingly immerse themselves in the virtual realm, the wonder of the tactile, fragrant, and tangible experiences remains just as vital. It’s essential for children to engage with the world around them using all their senses, not merely their eyes and ears. Our aim is to ignite a passion for learning in the natural sciences, to keep the flame of curiosity alive in every age group, and to turn the exploration of our world into a memorable journey.
