Join us in Balatonfüred on March 15-16, 2025, as the vibrant town transforms into a dynamic hub for culture, history, and gastronomy at the 12th Füred Spring Festival. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience captivating events and delectable flavors that celebrate the essence of spring!

The event's programs are held at iconic locations in the Reformation-era section of the city. Visitors can experience the past through theatrical performances, music and dance productions, and traditional events. Additionally, they will commemorate the events of the 1848-1849 revolution in a respectful manner.

One of the most spectacular features of the festival is the torchlight procession, which creates a vibrant atmosphere on the city streets. Literature and gastronomy enthusiasts can explore the special connection between flavors and poetry through an event called 'Pörköltészet'. Additionally, the festival brings to life the characters of Mór Jókai and Róza Laborfalvi through historical walks and performances.

On March 15, a celebration will be held on the Tagore Promenade at the Széchenyi Statue to commemorate the 1848-1849 revolution. This will be followed by a dance and music performance by the acting students of the MATE Kaposvár Campus Rippl-Rónai Institute of Arts, providing entertainment for both young and old.

The torchlight procession begins in front of the Anna Grand Hotel at 6:30 PM. It will proceed to the Jókai Memorial House, accompanied by members of the Balatonfüred City Concert Brass Band, the Society of Reform-era Tradition Keepers, the Balatonfüred Folk Dance Ensemble, the Balatonfüred Brass String Zither Ensemble, and the Blue Balaton Folk Choir.

On March 16, children will be treated to a dance performance titled *The Carnival of Animals*. In the afternoon, those interested are invited to join a walk dedicated to the Reform era. During this walk, actors Kitty Kéri and Tamás Szalma will portray Mór Jókai and Rózá Laborfalvi, while literary historian Mihály Praznovszky will entertain the audience with engaging anecdotes that are woven with historical accuracy.

The traditional Roasting Farm will take place on this day, with Márton Kakas and his wife providing the menu.
