Snowdrop Festival at the Alcsúti Arboretum

The Alcsúti Arboretum, one of the country's most original and oldest English park-style gardens, it offers ample opportunities for recreation in all seasons. The 40-hectare nature reserve is a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers, hikers, families and groups. 

The first signs of spring have already appeared in the park, where visitors are greeted by a stunning display of snowdrops.

Just a few hundred meters from the entrance to the 40-hectare arboretum, you can admire a beautiful carpet of flowers, featuring 24 varieties from seven species of snowdrops. Information boards along the path will guide you as you explore. 

Since 2005, snowdrops have been a protected plant, valued at 10,000 HUF, and picking even a single flower is subject to a fine.

The Alcsút Snowdrop Festival is one of the first spring events that many people eagerly anticipate each year, so expect increased traffic in the area on weekends. The opening dates are always adjusted to align with the start of the blooming season. 

The blooming period typically lasts for 4 to 5 weeks, depending on weather conditions.
