Visit the International Palace Games of Visegrád

The Visegrád International Palace Games are held annually on the second weekend of July to commemorate the Visegrád Royal Meeting of 1335, one of the most important events in medieval Europe. Over three days, visitors can enjoy spectacular jousting, a magnificent royal procession, an evening torchlight procession, a fair and concerts, evoking the inimitable medieval atmosphere, one of the authentic locations of which is Visegrád.

More than 1,000 costumed knights, musicians, acrobats, dancers, archers - representatives of the era - will arrive from Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and, of course, Hungary to welcome the visiting dignitary in the enchantment of the Middle Ages for three days. 

Several activities are held in the palace's authentic rooms and suites, as well as in the beautiful Renaissance garden, offering a unique glimpse into the life of a once-magnificent royal residence. Throughout the festival area, you can enjoy period music, participate in medieval dance performances, cheer for your favorite knight during historical duels, watch puppet theaters and street comedies, or stroll through the vibrant and bustling medieval market. 

During the three-day festival, visitors can choose from a variety of programs: 
Falconry demonstration, horse archery demonstration, equestrian demonstration, archery demonstration 

Royal Procession: A spectacular parade, during which members of the medieval court march through the streets of Visegrád. 

Craft Fair: Historical artisans demonstrate their craft and offer their wares in the courtyard of the Royal Palace. 

Children's Programs: A medieval playhouse, puppet theater, and interactive activities await the little ones at the Park Stage. 

Music and Dance Performances: Early music ensembles, dance performances, and evening concerts entertain the audience.
