The festival aims to present the genre diversity and rich form of Liszt's oeuvre, while also featuring contemporary performers, which is why the event has become the highest-quality classical music concert in Budapest and boasts the most exciting program in the city.

The Liszt Festival features classical music highlights at the Müpa Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and other impressive venues, showcasing works by Liszt and his contemporaries.

A significant highlight is the presentation of Liszt's rare opera, "Don Sanche, or the Castle of Love," which will take place at the Festival Theatre on October 22. Additionally, the Hungarian National Male Choir will host a Liszt Evening, offering insights into a lesser-known aspect of Liszt's oeuvre.

A particularly exceptional artistic experience will be the performance by organist László Fassang, featuring live organ accompaniment for the silent film "Faust." This event will be held at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall on October 10, serving as both a tribute and an exploration of the intersection between classical music and film.

The Liszt Festival features more than just classical music; it also includes jazz and pop concerts.

One of the special features of the Liszt Festival is its series of literary programs and art exhibitions, as well as interactive activities for children and families. The festival includes workshops, organ performances, and free events throughout the city, allowing it to reach an even wider audience.

The Liszt Festival 2025 in Budapest is a true celebration for classical music enthusiasts, while also embracing contemporary and crossover genres, as well as literary and visual arts.

With its rich programming, outstanding performers, and iconic venues, the festival is considered one of the premier classical music events in Budapest. Additionally, it offers a complex array of cultural programs that are sure to be a highlight of the cultural season in the Hungarian capital this October.
