The Night of Museums is a large-scale cultural event in which museums, exhibition spaces, and other cultural institutions open their doors to visitors for one night, offering special hours and programs.

During the Night of Museums in Budapest, more than two hundred cultural institutions will open their doors to visitors - not only with extraordinary exhibitions but also with unique public transportation options.

One of the biggest helpers for those wandering around the capital is the Museum Bus, which operates on seven different routes and can be used free of charge with a wristband for the event. The Museum Bus network aims to make the institutions participating in the event easily and conveniently accessible from as many points in the city as possible.

The Night of Museums is not only about cultural programs but also about the atmosphere of Budapest. The usual streets are filled with life, traffic is smooth, and the city's residents and tourists discover the past, present, and future together within the walls of museums—and on board buses, bicycles, and trolleys.

If someone wants to get to know Budapest, it's worth starting on this night. There is no better feeling than when we end an evening at the museum on a trolley that evokes the past - or roll through the starry city on a public bike to the next program.

All participating locations can be accessed by purchasing a single wristband, and some programs require prior registration.
