As November arrives, so does the much-anticipated break for our national team, and this season is no different. The Hungarian men's ice hockey team is once again poised to shine on home ice during the Sárközy Tamás Memorial Tournament. Kicking off on November 7th at the Tüskecsarnok, this year’s tournament promises to be the most competitive yet, featuring Group A opponents Slovenia, along with Poland and Italy from Division I/A. Our team earned its elite status through commendable victories against the Slovenians and Italians in Bolzano last spring, making this tournament not just a competition, but a thrilling rematch that we can't afford to miss!

Following the recent spring promotion, Gergely Majoross has taken the helm as the new captain of the Hungarian national team, bringing a wave of optimism. With a dedicated Hungarian staff supporting him, we are seeing promising signs that our team is on the right track. While the team faced three defeats in the Olympic qualifiers in Bratislava at the end of August, their performance against higher-ranked opponents was nothing short of inspiring. This tournament marked the beginning of our journey, and we are gearing up for a successful World Championship appearance. The upcoming tournament in Budapest, set for November 7 to 9, will be a crucial milestone on our path to greatness. Let's rally behind our team as they strive for success!
